To attack hunger in our communities with nutritious food, compassion, love, and resources. To ensure every hungry Delawarean gets to eat, and no one has to choose between food and bills.

If anyone has material possessions and sees a brother or sister in need but has no pity on them, how can the love of God be in that person? Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth.
What we do
One Purpose Food Pantry is a 501c3 organization that was established in 2021 to attack hunger in our community. The pantry serves individuals and families in New Castle County who require food assistance regardless of the reason. Nutritious food and resources are accessible with no judgment but with words of encouragement. One Purpose Food Pantry focuses on serving our community with faith, kindness, compassion, and love, just like Jesus did. This is a mobile food pantry. According to Feeding America in Delaware, there are 114,190 people facing hunger and of them, 32,830 are children (feeding America, Hunger in Delaware, 2022, www.feedingamerica.org/hunger-in-america/delaware). Your support is key to solving this problem. One Purpose Food Pantry is accepting donations to help feed our community members in need. During this time, donation drop-offs are accepted by appointment only. Our goal is to raise $50,000 for a cargo van. The van will be utilized for food transport. Welcome to One Purpose Food Pantry! My name is Janiene Campbell, founder of One Purpose Food Pantry and a family woman with 2 kids. I graduated from Widener University in 2016 with a degree in Science. Since 2008, I've volunteered and worked for several nonprofits in PA & DE serving the homeless and low-income families. In 2019 I was called to feed the hungry. My children and I started giving out brown bag lunches to homeless people in the Claymont and Wilmington areas. The bags included a sandwich, a bag of chips, and water. It never felt like we were doing enough. I never wanted to ride past someone hungry, so I decided to keep a supply of snacks, drinks, and daily devotionals in my car. More and more I saw how significant the need for food was, and that's when I decided to start One Purpose Food Pantry.
